Mari Castro is a Chilean native. She moved to the US when she was 12 years old with her family as political refugees. Since Mari moved here, she has always wanted to feel close to Chile. For her, cooking Chilean food gives her a bit of that connection. She feels a sense of pride when people ask her what Chilean food is. She loves when people try it for the first time. It's a way to spread some Chilean culture in an area that not many know about.

She enjoys getting to know people and believes the human connection is important. We all know how special a home-cooked meal is.
